Adventure program and itinerary

We recommend: Take the Golden Train to Åndalsnes. It takes you on a journey on the Rauma Railway, awarded the most scenic train journey in Europe by Lonley Planet. The trip start at Dombås Station in Gudbrandsdalen. To get there you can either go from Trondheim or Oslo with Dovre Railway and change to Rauma Railway in Dombås.

If you dont go for the train option: the trip starts and ends in Aalesund or Molde. There are direct flights from Oslo, Trondheim, Bergen and Amsterdam to Vigra Airport Aalesund. We recommend that if you arrive Aalesund that you have at least one night here before you leave, so you also can explore this beautiful city before go back home. The program below is an overview of what the tour might look like

Day 1: Meeting day, Via Ferrata and Rampestreken

We pick you up in Aalesund, Molde or Aandalsnes after breakfast. This day will be filled with fantastic hikes surrounded by spectacular mountain and fjord views, crazy roads and wild rivers. For those who are not afraid of heights, and wants to challenge their climbing skills, is this the right place to be. We hire climing equipment and get ready for Romsdalsstigen Via Ferreta in Aandalsnes. We promise you tingling in the stomach and a experience for life. After the climing session we will have lunch at Eggen Restaurant 708 m.a.s.l., before we hike back down to the city. On the way back down we will pass Rampestreken, on of the most popular picture points in Norway.

If you dont want to climb Via Ferrata, you take the hike up to Rampestreken. The trip start in the center of Aandalsnes, and you follow the abrupt path up. At the top, the reward awaits in form of one of Norways rawest view points. A 20 meters long steel ramp break out from the mountain and stretch out in the air. Out on the tip you will have a breathtaking view over fjords and mountains. We climb further up to Nesaksla, and eat lunch at Eggen Restaurant, with majestic view in all directions. The hike back goes the same way that you hike up, or you an take the Romsdal Gondola down and enjoy the surroundings while hovering 100 meters over the ground.

The tour continue to Trollstigen, an impressiv mountain pass that twist through eleven hairpin bends up the steep mountainsides in Romsdalen. We will take several stops on the route for foto sessions. We drive through the beautiful valley down to village of Valldal where the boat is waiting for us. Delicious dinner on board an we stay the night in Valldal

Day 2: Rafting or Kaykaing in Valldal

Today`s activities are flexible, depending on the water level in the river. Valldøla is perfect for rafting, and promise you a thrilling nature experience in stunning surroundings with beautiful natur, high mountains and strawberry fields. Half way we take a break along the river bank, and enjoy a small local delicacy. This rafting is suitable both for beginners and those with prior experience.

Alternatively: kayaking. You will experience a spectacular fjord landscape. The tour into the fjords towards the village Fjørå and the UNESCO-fjord Tafjorden. We cross the fjord and have lunch at an old fjord farm. A perfect place to enjoy the view and the lunch before we explore the other side if the fjord on our way back to Valldal. We set sail to Hellesylt, dinner of local produce will be served on board, before we enjoy the evening and go to rest for the night.

Day 3: Bike Flofjellet

After a delicious breakfast we get ready for a bike ride that everyone should have on their bucket list. We follow the old road towards Flo and Oppstryn in Stryn. The ride is technically easy and goes on asphalt, gravel and path in beautiful surroundings. We pass quiet and beautiful waters, water falls and mountain farms. With strong el-bikes we get a little extra power up the hills, and you will get the feeling of flying upwards. On the highest point we get on 550 m.a.s.l. From this point and back, it is gently downhill for long parts of the trip, a perfect ending of the trip. After a warm shower at the boat the chef serve you dinner.

Day 4: Hike Skageflå in Geiranger

We sail into the fjord towards Geiranger. We pass the waterfall De Syv Søstre, before we cross the fjord to the foot of the mountain, Skagehola. Here you jump ashore and embark on the path thats creeps up the mountainside. The terrain is steep, but on the most exposed parts, steps have been carved into the rock, and the path is secured with railings. You pass great viewpoints along the way,  and up on the old farm Skageflå there is a majestic view of the fjord and the waterfall De Sju Søstre. The path continues on to Homlongsetra, an on to Geiranger, where the boat is waiting for you. After a nice warm shower the chef serve dinner on board. After the dinner it`s nice to stroll around in the city centre and maybe have a few drinks before night falls.

Day 5: Hike Storseterfossen

Today we go for a unique and spectacular water fall hike, who gives you amazing view to step mountains, powerful water falls and the beautiful Geriangerfjorden. The hike start with the fjord, and take you 327 steps, plateaus and view points to Norwegian Fjord center. We take a stop here to learn more about the UNESCOs World Heritage and some local history. The combination of exciting architecture close to the roaring sound from the water fall is an experience you won`t soon forget. We follow the path up to Westerås Farm and further to Storseterfossen. The 30 meter high water fall stands in an arc out of the mountain so you can walk under and behind it. On our way back we stop at Westeraas Farm en enjoy lunch, Norways steepest serving with a spectacular view. We spend the night in Geiranger, and go for dinner in one of the city`s cosy restaurants.
